Reverend Monica Joy Cross holds a Master in Divinity in Theology, promoting radical inclusivity in her work as a local pastor. She is a strong ally to transmen, and being a transwoman, she regularly shares her experiences on her podcast, which focuses on the intersection of spirituality and transgender identity.
Lonnie Tuck (Board Co-Chair, Fund Development, and Program Leader): Lonnie brings two decades of experience in workforce development, including prisoner reentry workforce development. He has led Goodwill's initiatives in San Francisco, along with the Oakland Office of the Center for Employment Opportunities. His extensive connections in the world of nonprofit fund development are invaluable. Lonnie is a Black gay man with a vibrant personal history that includes a recording career and bodybuilding competitions, and he has been a long-time ally to trans people.
Dr. Sé Sullivan is a professor, carpenter, artist, and filmmaker. They hold a B.A in Ethnic Studies from Mills College, a M.A. in Sociology from CSUEB, and a PHD in Social and Cultural Anthropology from CIIS. As A Nonbinary Queer who was a child data set in the development of conversion Therapy at 8 years old in 1970, they have a unique perspective from the front lines of queer and Trans history. Sean Saxton believes that many Black and Latino transmen have limited resources with which to navigate their lives, and require more visibility and affirmation of belonging. He co-founded Bruthas Rising due to the lack of true support spaces in the larger community. Sean graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Behavior from Colorado Technical University. Sean is an advocate for HIV awareness, prevention, and support.
